Below are the detailed sections outlining our Site Terms. Please review them:

PART (1): TERMS APPLICABLE TO THE SUPPLY OF GOODS AND SERVICES VIA THE WEBSITE

PART (2): TERMS APPLICABLE TO USE OF THE WEBSITE

PART (3): TERMS APPLICABLE TO BOTH PART (1) AND PART (2) ABOVE

PART 1: TERMS APPLICABLE TO THE SUPPLY OF GOODS AND SERVICES VIA THE WEBSITE

A. Shopping handco.com: Two Options

We present two methods for shopping:

    • HandCo Members: If you hold a membership with HandCo, you can conveniently shop online by inputting your member number during checkout. Executive Members are eligible to have their online purchases count towards their annual reward. To ascertain your eligibility for membership, kindly check membership.
    • Online Only Members: You have the option to become a HandCo Online Member. Upon making your initial purchase, you can choose to subscribe by paying a monthly fee during checkout. Upon expiration, you’ll be prompted to renew your subscription for another month when making  your subsequent purchase. Members must be at least eighteen years old.
    • We stand by the quality of our subscription service. Should you find it unsatisfactory, we offer a full refund of your subscription fee at any time.

  • Please note that this website is exclusively for ordering goods and services intended for delivery to addresses within the UK.

B. Contract, Pricing, Formation, Payment

When purchasing products online, it’s important to note that the pricing may differ from those available at your local HandCo warehouse due to additional charges such as shipping and handling fees for delivery. However, it’s crucial to understand that the prices listed on the website do not encompass the annual subscription fee or any HandCo Membership fee required for online purchases. These subscription fees and HandCo Membership fees are subject to VAT and must be paid separately. They will be clearly outlined during the checkout process on the website and will be added to the total price of the goods and services.

It’s essential to clarify that nothing within these Site Terms or elsewhere on this website should be construed as an offer to sell or provide goods or services, including a subscription to handco.com or an online application for HandCo Membership. Your placement of an order for goods or services, or submission of an application for a subscription account/HandCo Membership, is considered an offer to purchase said items. While our Order Confirmation acknowledges the receipt of your order, it does not signify its acceptance. Once your order is accepted, it becomes our responsibility to fulfill it by supplying the goods you’ve requested.

In most cases, we consider your order accepted when we dispatch the goods or commence the provision of the services you’ve requested. This action formalizes the contract of sale for the dispatched goods, although it doesn’t apply to any additional goods or services ordered simultaneously.

For Higher Value Goods, the contract between HandCo and yourself for the sale/purchase of the specified goods will only be finalized once the goods are made available for your inspection at the designated delivery address, and you’ve signed a receipt provided by the carrier. If you opt not to sign the receipt, we’ll retain the goods, and your offer to purchase them will be deemed withdrawn.

Ownership of the goods you’ve ordered transfers to you upon dispatch, prior to delivery. We retain the right to withhold or reclaim the goods at any time until full payment is received. The risk of loss or damage to the goods also transfers to you at the same time as ownership.

Please note that we cannot be held liable for any delays or failures in delivering goods or services ordered through this website if such delays or failures are caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We accept various payment methods online at handco.com, including debit cards (UK Maestro, Visa Debit), major credit cards (Mastercard, American Express, and Visa), Apple Pay, and PayPal. Our token management service ensures continuity of service by automatically updating saved card details whenever you receive a new card, reducing interruptions and the need for re-entering card details. For information on payment methods accepted in our warehouses, please click here.

All card payments are subject to authorization by your card issuer. Failure of authorization or any other payment-related issues will result in the non-fulfillment of your order. We reserve the right to decline subscription applications and may revoke subscriptions at any time, with or without cause.

Your credit/debit card or PayPal account will be charged at the time your order is placed for all purchases.

Business Delivery

We want to assure you that we strive to fulfill all orders placed through our website promptly. However, there may be instances where factors beyond our control hinder the timely delivery of goods or services.

Please note that ownership of the goods you order will only transfer to you once we have received full payment for them and they have been successfully delivered to your specified location. Until payment is made in full, we reserve the right to retain ownership of the goods or take necessary steps to recover them. Additionally, the responsibility for any loss or damage to the goods shifts to you once ownership has been transferred.

C. Product Descriptions and Availability, Price indications and Offers and Changes

  • We take careful measures to accurately represent our goods and services on our website and ensure their availability at the listed prices. However, it’s important to note that we reserve the right to make changes without prior notice, including altering the goods and services offered, their prices or specifications, promotional offers, and other site materials. We cannot guarantee the continuous availability of goods or services advertised on our website, and we reserve the right to limit the quantities available for sale.
  • We acknowledge that while we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all site materials, including product descriptions, photographs, and user guides, are entirely accurate, complete, reliable, current, or free of errors. Consequently, we reserve the right to refuse or revise orders and rectify any inaccuracies in pricing or other material information on our website. In such cases, we will inform you of the cancellation of your order and either refrain from charging you or issue a credit to the payment method used for the order.
  • Please be aware that the product images displayed on our website are for illustrative purposes only.
  • If we do not process an order for such reason, we will advise you that the order has been cancelled and will either not charge you or will apply credit to the payment type used in the order.
  • Our website is designated for orders intended for delivery to UK addresses only.
  • For further details, please refer to our Returns, Cancellations and Assistance Procedures.
  • You can find specific information about our Returns and Cancellations Procedures, including details about the HandCo Satisfaction Guarantee. This section does not affect your rights under the HandCo Satisfaction Guarantee or your statutory rights, including your right to cancel. For additional information regarding consumer statutory rights, please refer to Section S (Further Information) below or Statutory Rights section.

D. Our Responsibility for Loss or Damage suffered by you as a result of using our Website and the Sale of Goods on our Website

  • In relation to your utilization of our website and the purchase of goods therein, we acknowledge our responsibility for any loss or damage suffered by you, as detailed below in this section. HandCo disclaims liability for losses incurred due to, or associated with, your usage of the website, including any inability to access it, or reliance on the content presented.
  • If we fail to adhere to these Site Terms, we accept responsibility for foreseeable loss or damage resulting from our breach or lack of reasonable care and skill. However, we disclaim liability for unforeseeable loss or damage. Foreseeability is determined by whether the loss or damage was obvious or known to both parties at the time of contract formation.
  • We do not seek to exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for personal injury, fraud, breach of legal rights concerning products, and defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
  • In the event that services are provided on your premises, we will rectify any damage caused by us during such provision. Nonetheless, we are not liable for repairing pre-existing faults or damage discovered during service provision.
  • If defective digital content supplied by us damages your device or other digital content due to our lack of reasonable care, we commit to either repairing the damage or providing compensation. However, we do not accept liability for damage that could have been avoided by adhering to our advice, applying provided updates, or by failure to correctly follow installation instructions or minimum system requirements advised by us.

For non-Consumer usage or commercial purposes, we disclaim liability for business losses including, but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits, sales, business, or revenue
  • Business interruption
  • Loss of anticipated savings
  • Loss of business opportunity, goodwill, or reputation
  • Loss of use;
  • Loss of data;
  • Special, punitive, or exemplary damages
  • Any indirect or consequential loss or damage

For non-Consumer transactions, our total liability for goods and services purchased via the website is limited to the price charged for those goods and services, whether arising from contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, breach of statutory duty, or other legal theories.
